  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups chocolate chips
  • ½ cup Halloween-colored M&M’s or candy-coated chocolates
  • Candy eyeballs for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, adding vanilla extract afterward.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and M&M’s.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press candy eyeballs into each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
